Supply Chain Wars

It has been a while since our last update.  Suffice it to say we have been embroiled in the supply-chain wars.

The battles continue; now you can read about them in mainstream media.  The proposed solutions coming from government will have little impact.  The foundational problems must be addressed, and there are no quick fixes.

I have attached an excellent post outlining the situation in understandable terms but in sufficient detail to cover most of the problems.  It is a ten-minute read, but worth your time. Please click below.

“America’s ‘Shipping Crisis’ Will Not End”

Our approach remains the same:

Book early

Expect deviations/delays/cancelations

Be prepared to execute Plan B (C, D, etc.).

Anticipate extra expense due to the above

Persevere through the hassles

President Franklin Roosevelt said, “ a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.”

At SLG we are on the high seas.  It is a little rough, but we are making headway.

If we can be of service, you are welcome aboard anytime.
